Application deadlines for business schools in Massachusetts
Harvard Business School’s round one MBA application deadline for the program beginning in the fall of 2017 is September 7 2016 - the earliest US deadline that’s been announced so far. Applicants can expect to receive their decision notifications three months later, on December 7. HBS advises applicants to apply during its first two application rounds, since space may be limited by the time of its third and final round. For international students, applying during the first two rounds would also lessen the stress of securing a visa and provide additional time for any work regarding English proficiency that may be required.
On the other side of Cambridge, Massachusetts, MIT Sloan’s round one MBA application deadline falls, this year, on September 15.
Two Boston-based business schools with dates already listed for 2017 MBA application deadlines are Northeastern University’s D’amore-McKim School of Business and Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School. D’amore-McKim’s next full-time MBA application deadlines are November 1, 2016 and January 15, 2017. For the part-time program, the next deadlines are July 30, 2016, September 20, 2016 and November 6, 2016. Sawyer has the same priority MBA application deadline each year, March 15, and rolling admission continues throughout the summer.
Also in the Boston area, Brandeis University International Business School's next MBA deadlines are November 1 and January 6.
Many of the MBA programs offered through the University of Massachusetts (UMass) use the same deadline date every year, including: UMass Amherst’s Isenberg School of Business; UMass Boston; and UMass Dartmouth’s Charlton College of Business. Isenberg’s round one deadline for the full-time program is December 1, 2016, with an early action deadline a month prior to this. As for the online MBA, deadlines to start the program in spring or summer are on October 1 2016 and February 1 2017, respectively. UMass Boston has a deadline of November 1 2016 for enrollment in the spring 2017 semester, although international applicants must apply before the start of October. To start at Charlton in the spring of 2017 means meeting deadlines of November 1 2016 (for international students, all programs), December 1 (full-time MBA program) and December 15 (part-time and online MBA programs).
